First, don't hijack someone else's thread. Your question is sort of on topic, but not really.

LFS and it's derivative projects are nothing more than books. They are available in HTML or PDF format. If you print them, then they will be physical books.
The LiveCD provided by the LFS project ensures you have a host distribution that meets all of the requirements to successfully build a LFS system.
Hello b0uncer. I would like to give lfs a go but I'm pretty new to linux as a whole and do not know where to look for the liv-cd and this book you talked about. I would love some guidance as to where to find this book and cd image.
Is the book a pdf or a physical book?
Britt

First of all, asking that question on THIS thread was not hijacking it. It was a simple question that helps other's including the original poster. If you feel threatened or otherwise angry because I asked a simple ON-TOPIC question, you should seek counseling or perhaps retire from this message board.
The whole purpose of linuxquestions.org is to gather information and help other's find it. You, sir are only hindering the progress of said domain by being hateful.
I refuse to be part of any domain whose 'senior members' are immature and controlling when it comes to on-topic questions.
I feel sorry for you and everybody you have spoken-down to. You should be ashamed.

Please tone it down--noone has harmed you.
Thread-hijacking is a gray area and i doubt if any moderators are going to go researching the rules on this one. Just stick to substantive discussion and we'll all be fine.
Knowing and researching the LQ Rules is one of the things any LQ member may expect from any LQ moderator. That said the point of hijacking may be be a virtual twilight zone but...
@goofybritt: you're quite new at LQ. If you have any past experience with large boards like these you will know that telling a fellow LQ member to "seek counseling or perhaps retire from this message board" doesn't win you any friends. It doesn't do nobody any good. Also consider that the person you accuse of "hindering the progress of said domain by being hateful" incidentally also answered your questions. Please don't get involved in personal attacks: try to get along. Don't lash out instinctively when senior members point you to things: just ask if things are unclear.
