BASH won't build... Please help!
Okay, I am attempting to build an LFS 6.2 system, using Ubuntu 6.06 as the host system. I have all the updates and packages required for building the LFS system. I use an AMD-K62 500 MHz, 384 MBs RAM.
I have followed all of the steps from the beginning, and when I get to installing BASH, it will not build. I applied the patch, like it told me to. I run the configure scripts, and it works fine. Then, I type "make" and get this: lfs@5441-compaq:/mnt/lfs/tools/bash-3.1$ make yacc -d ./parse.y make: yacc: Command not found make: *** [y.tab.c] Error 127 lfs@5441-compaq:/mnt/lfs/tools/bash-3.1$ It did this to me a while back. So I attempted to build the whole system over again and get to this same stage and it does the same thing. Can anyone help? PS, just because I am 14 doesn't mean I don't know what I am doing (most of the time lol). I have been using Ubuntu and some other distros for about a year now. Thanks, Chris |
Is bison installed on the host?

No, I did not have bison installed. I installed it and now it is working.
Thanks, man. |

I'm 16. I think the age is not a problem if you wanna build an lfs system. Keep goin on, good luck!
