Giving up on Windows can be like quitting smoking - often takes multiple tries. I admire your determination not to opt for the easiest option. I hope you'll ultimately choose Linux, assuming it's the right OS for you.

No I cant Give In, thanks for your help,After doing a lot more reading I have decided to persevere.I can allways do this using another OS i realise that, but I was under a missconception after starting and getting through to section 3.2 Thats where the Brick wall is.I have searched and tried all your input, but the brick wall is still there, I am going to find a sledge hammer, lol thanks again, like Arnie said I'l be back.

I wonder why my post dissapeareed.? just got back from the library picked up the linux bible, great its got red hat and a few others on a cd so i will give them a try too, I think it will fix most of my other problems, like code too. will keep you posted.
