Question 2052 stack size is not enough! - glibc problem

glibc seems to put a maximum limit on the stack size (2052kb). I need more. My processor can handle 8000+kb. I intend to give it that.

Problem is, I don't know where in the glibc source to change this. Any Help?

Have you tried setting ulimit -s 8192 then running the req'd prog?
Should override stack size for anything invoked from that shell...

haven't got the glibc source in front of me ATM but can take a look for the specific define
later tonight...

the program still claims to see only 2052k stack..

I am testing the stack size with the Cedega program. Their tech-support claims the limitation is caused by the max stack size settings in glibc.

They again claim that the only fix would be to recompile the glibc source. Which I've done numerous times. But I don't know where to look/find the supposed 2052 stack cap.
