The problem seems to be with GTK and not with the ymessenger package. Is your system up2date? If so, try reloading the GTK rpms. Also, as an aside... They managed to fix Gaim where it now works with Yahoo again. Gaim version 0.77 and 0.78 will now connect to Yahoo. Kopete also connects well with Yahoo IM and may already be on your system as well.

hmmmm, Gaim had that problem in .76 but was fixed in .77

I am running .78 right now and it connects to yahoo with no problems. Have you used Kopete? I don't like it because I have to push the ctrl-enter keys instead of just enter when I send a message. Other than that it's great.

It is not seeing the glib 2.0.

Did you install Glib 2? I see where you say you downloaded it but did you install it? The./configure doesn't show that it has been installed either.

Up2date should have Gaim .77 or .78 Fedora does. If not, just get the RPM from Freshrpm.net.

before Thanks you Frank_Drebin
i thing not finish install glib

but now install package glib.2.2.0 : ok
install gaim.0-78 : fail
Code:
checking for pkg-config... /usr/bin/pkg-config
checking for glib-2.0 >= 2.1.4 atk >= 1.0.1 pango >= 1.0.1... Package glib-2.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `glib-2.0.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'glib-2.0' found

configure: error: Library requirements (glib-2.0 >= 2.1.4 atk >= 1.0.1 pango >= 1.0.1) not met; consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them.
i'm install glib.2.2.0 but now gaim requires glib.2.0.0 ????

how change PATH in configure file ???

help me plz
