Hello,

I want to install Xmgr into my RHEL (WS) 4.0 OS. Although there are versions listed for a lot of linux OS, I cannot trace one for RHEL in particular.

Xmgr (now called grace I believe?) is a free (and powerful) plotting software. Better than gnuplot I think; I cannot get multiplt plots, or align different plots easily with gnuplot, for example.

Questions:
(1) Does anyone know a free download site for Xmgr for RHEL?
(2) Does it matter -- can you use another version e.g. for SuSe?
(3) If so, which one would be suitable for RHEL?
(4) Cam some one guide me through the steps for installing Xmgr on to my machine?

There is one for RHEL 5.0, and for for some Fedora's (search rpm.pbone)

It is also possible to compile. You can get grace-5.1.9.tar.gz from
ftp://plasma-gate.weizmann.ac.il/pub/grace/src/stable
Required libraries to compile : openmotif-devel, xorg-xll-devel
(And some extras if you want support for tiff, xmhtml, pdf)
