Hi all! I wasnt sure where to post this so if it fits better somewhere else move it.
I use Ubuntu 8.04 on a laptop Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Pi1536. Everything was fine till I installed mpeg codecs. Actually during the installation the computer restarted and after that i can only log into failsafe gnome. If I try to log into gnome I get the white screen of death. I tried to erase hidden files in my home directory but that didnt work. I also have to say that i have compiz installed and I think that's the reason for my problem. Any suggestions?
