Unhappy Unable to print a pdf file opened in adobe reader

Hi,

I have a RHEL 5.4 64 bit machine which is connected to the network. I can print almost anything using the network printers. Recently I added a HP deskjet 6122 printer locally. Now, I am able to print everything locally except the pdf files opened in Adobe Reader. I can print the same pdf file if I open it in kpdf. I am getting this error message when I try printing in Adobe reader - "Printer 'deskjet_6122@localhost' - cannot open connection - No such file or directory". The command that it is trying to execute is "lpr -P deskjet_6122 -o PrintoutMode=Normal -o InputSlot=Default -o PageSize=Letter -o PageRegion=Letter -o Duplex=None -o Quality=FromPrintoutMode". I tried disbaling firewall and Selinux. But it still gives the same error. Please help!!

Thanks,
Sumanth

I tried setting up both using hp-setup and cups. Got the same result. Except for pdf's opened in adobe reader, I can print anything!! I even tried both in KDE and Gnome. But no use. I am using A4 paper size..

thats not what your settings are...pls change them from letter (US setting) to a4.

Maybe you did not set region....not sure how you do that in RH

You can adjust using cups though
