Searching google showed many similiar links on the subject. The reason I see no support for sas is more than likely it is not built into the current rpm kernel the installer is using. Also the anaconda installer is limited to the support od device modules it loads. The first link mentions using a boot floppy support to get sas to be seen during install.

Now from the first post once it is installed the kernel that is installed must be recompiled to add the proper support for the sas controller you have before it will boot up. You can either use a different linux machine to rebuild the kernel and copy to the sas drive but you will need to load the module built for the install cd to be able to mount and copy over say from a USB flash drive.
