Sync windows 2000 server time with Linux server

Hi,

I am an admin in a pvt concern. i have 1 Linux(RHEL) and 1 windows 2K server. The problem is the Linux server(Domino server running) time is faster than windows time. The time difference is 40 minutes. If I changed the Linux time with equal of Windows time, after onr day its increased automatically. Its continoues every day.

I heared NTP concept is suitable for Time sync. For my case is it suitable. If suitable please let me know how to configure in linux/windows.

Thanks in advance.....

Set a cron job to sync to the windows 2000 system as your time source once an hour or so.

man cron
man ntpdate
