Question SLES9 - EVMS Cluster Segment Manager not avail..why not?

Hi -
I've got SLES9 installed on an HP DL380 Packaged Cluster w/ MSA500.
EVMS is version 2.3.3-0.15 - installed right from the SLES9 CDs.

Each node can see the MSA disk as /dev/cciss/c0d1, and evms sees them as cciss!c0d1. In following the directions in the EVMS user guide, I can use the EVMS GUI to create volumes, lay down filesystems, mount them, etc.

However, I cannot get ANY use of the Cluster Segment Manager - it simply
doesn't appear as an option when I choose "Add Segment Manager to Storage Object" (only GPT, BBR and DOS are available here) or when I "Create a Storage Container" (only LVM region manager is here). I'm following the directions in the EVMS user guide and CSM just doesn't appear to be available, yet in the plugins tab it's listed as CSM v1.0.7.
So, what am I missing? Are there some other requirements for the CSM
plugin to work?

Regards,
Jason

Hi,

I have the same problem you described, but I'm using Fedora Core 2 with kernel 2.6.10 and EVMS version 2.5.

Do you have any answer to the problem already?, perhaps could help me too.

Thanks in advanced.
