Angry sendmail problem

I have a strange problem with sendmail on rhel4. Every email sent from the server(remote) will be e accepted as spam(bulk in yahoo mail) . My server just started to run recently so there is no way my dns is in the blocked list.

I also have another rhel4(in my office). when I send email from this linux box, all emails are delivered as expected(not in a bulk folder).

Any idea?

Does the new server have a dynamic IP address? If so, that could be the reason (mail from the dynamic IP pool is automatically suspect).

You could very well be RBL'd. Check http://rbls.org/

Just because you just started the server doesn't mean that someone hasn't RBL'd the block in which you reside.

No problem in your server. Your messages are filtered to junk mail because yahoo, or hotmail "don't know who are you". Don't worry, the same happened to me (suse + postfix smtp server).

And if you were an open relay, your messages would never arrived, not filtered to junk mail.

Don't know about yahoo, but to make hotmail happy in that case, all you need to do is publish an SPF record.
