Sendmail error 553 5.1.8

CentOS 5

I have just reloaded the server. Now I get Sendmail error.
Quote:
553 5.1.8 <root@dilon.mydomain.no>... Domain of sender address root@dilon.mydomain.no does not exist
I have had this working before and I am using the same sendmail.mc file as before. I think I must have missed something.

The server is in standalone mode (localhost), just servicing mail from the apache php mail() module.

I can post the sendmail.cf if needed

Thanks in advance.
Dave

It sounds like you have DNS checking turned on (I think you can turn it off in your *.mc file). This error happens when a domain isn't resolvable.

Do you have your FQDN listed in your /etc/hosts file?
Is your /etc/resolv.conf pointed to a DNS server that can resolve the FQDN of the domain you're trying to accept/send?
Is your domain listed in your /etc/mail/local-host-names?
