Sure thing cksoo,

I just read a big write up on this topic but it was using postfix instead of sendmail. Anyway the smart host was running Fedora 3, with postfix, spamassasin and clamAV. I just bout the Book a few days ago the title is Windows and Linux Integration. The book will give you the step by step sample on how to configure the Linux side as well the steps required on Exchange to use a smarthost.

here is the ISBN#: 0782144284

I have just set this up (last month) and will post a doc when I get into the office tomorrow (I will put it up on my blog, or email me)

Question

Hi guys,

I'm trying to do exactly the same thing. Please could someone point me to a good web guide or can you suggest anything on how to get Sendmail setup as the mail gateway for my Exchange server?

I'm running Fedora Core 6 with Sendmail 8.13.8

I also have an Exchange server setup and working fine. All these machines are protected behind an ISA firewall at the gateway, so all of my mail servers have private IPs. The ISA server handles mailflow in and out of my network, and it has a public IP address that is registered with my mail mx record.

I come from a Windows background and know very little about Linux, so please be gentle ;-)

I'd like to get Sendmail setup as an antispam and antivirus server also, but I need to get mail routing through it first.

Any help or advice you can give is greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks,

Greg.
