Hi all
my server using dell 850 with rhel u5 . i have a problem when it have a high load from normal it hang sometime. i try to read the log but it just stop logging and start log when reboot server. i'm not sure if this coz rhel3 bug or something . i use this server runing ensim 4.0.3 with 120 website. normal load around 0.xx everyday .it will have high load when it run cronjob everyday and that time server not response a bit and back to normal. high load that i mentions is just 4-12 load average. i dont know what wrong with it. Hardware or Software?
p.s. i bought dell 850 2.8Ghz with 512 ddr2 memory 1 x 80 Gb SATA and installed more 512 ddr2 memory
First thing you want to do is be patient. I can understand it's important to you but bumping your thread in such a short a period doesn't show respect for your fellow LQ members.

Wouldn't you agree it is more efficient to tell us what the *contents* of the cronjob are instead of talking *about* it?
cron job for update everything stat,disk usage etc.... relate to all website for ensim. my other server that use just FC2 run very high load but it still response not same as this server i mention.
Here's what you do. Install atop and make sure it is configured to write output to a file with a low interval. Start it in /etc/crontab before /etc/cron.daily gets run and stop it after /etc/cron.daily finishes. Now you have process stats over the period /etc/cron.daily was run. Replay the stats checking CPU first then on I/O. Now you have an idea which parts of which jobs take up too much resources and you can search for ways to adjust it.
