RHEL AS/ES 4 installation for oracle 10g DB and/or AS questions

hi,
i try to achieve this: install only the required software/program which would enable oracle 10g database and/or appserver being installed and run on rhel either as or es 4.
i've try the 'install all' or 'complete install' and no doubt i could get oracle 10g db/as install without much problems.
next i've tried with selecting these software groups: x windows, gnome desktop, server config tools, devel tools, x software devel, legacy software devel and administration tools. with these selection also i've managed to install the db and as without much problems.
my final test/attempt was with 'install minimal' and adding the required software mentioned in oracle db/as install guide.

i'm wondering
a) has anyone tried preparing her/his rhel as/es 4 machine for oracle 10g db/as using the path i taken in my final test/attempt? would appreciate if you could share the list of individual software you installed.

b) how normally you setup your rhel as/es 4 for oracle 10g db/as?

thank you very much.

[for oas 10gr2 f & reports services] with rhel as4 update 4, i just select x-window system, gnome desktop environment, development tools and compatibility arch support. anyway i have to add sysstat and glibc-devel.i386 before oas installation.

i found it is very difficult to start with minimal installation and build up. the (too many) dependencies kill my patience. the easier could be, remove the unwanted packages from the 1st paragraph's installation. may experiment this but not so soon. how about you guys' experience?

btw, found this http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub...all.html#rhel4 (after i start this thread), pls refer to step-14. tqvm
