Remote migration of branch Windows servers
Hello,
i need help with a kickstart file.
In order to make a remote migration of Windows servers in branches, the issue is the following :
- the system deployement should be enterely automatic
- no hardware change
- deploy Red Hat linux
As i know, the scenario use a free ntfs partition and the OS deployment is conducted by a WinPe. Then a bat prepares a syslinux and a kickstart config file.
I know that the standard kickstart file includes these options :
install
url --url ftp:// ...
cleanpart --all
part ...
But in this case, we want to deploy Red Hat with a ntfs partition to store ISOs.
I think that it is realist but i have a question about the ks option part.
As i want to keep a install media partition, i don't know the behavior of part about this. And I don't know how to mount the ntfs partition with anaconda.
So the current ks file is :
install
harddrive --partition=hda --dir=/tmp/install-tree
part ...
About part :
Because of the ntfs partitions, when part is invoked, is these partitions will be erased or crashed ? Else, is free space remaining on the hard drive disk will be used to create the new partition ?
