I'm getting used to Solaris, and we have one Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 (and more soon to come). And I have a question...
On Solaris you can log information in /var/adm/messages and you can add them by using the logger -p local5.info command (I use them heavily in shell scripts).
What is the equivalent of this in Linux? Any help would be great. Thanks
