pxe or other way of autmoated install on red hat as 4

Hello,

Looking for ideas for automating a install.

The dream would be a bootdisk or bootcd that would load, grab the media from a network share somewhere and begin installation with little to no input from user.

Basically we have the same redhat LAS4 image that goes on to a HP dl585 and dl385 server (100+), using scsi 5i controller and a 6i controller on a shared array on a msa 500...

Right now we use kickstart from a boot floppy with cd media, this is a bit annoying, as someone needs to be there for the entire install.

I'm just in the reasearch stage, so any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

i've played with acronis, but much rather something that was open sourced...

I've looked into pxe, unfortnely our dhcp server seems to interfere with the pxe boot.

Thanks!

If all the images are the same on same hardware you might want to look at Mondo. It will let you create an image to DVD then you can use the DVD to load a new system (or reload the original).
