NFS Write Permission

I have an Red Hat Linux 4 AS Server wher I'm sharing folders. I have established share via NFS and I'm able to mount the shares to other machines and read data with no problem. However, I seem to be unable to establish share for the purpose of writing. I've included my export:

/disk1 XXX.XXX.XX.XX *(rw,insecure,sync,no_wdelay,no_root_squash)

root is the file group and owner of the folder. On the remote machine I assigned on as root also. I've given root owner permission, File Group permission and Other; read, write and execute.

I also get the following message when I run exportfs -r:

exportfs: No options for /disk1 XXX.XXX.XX.XX: suggest XXX.XXX.XX.XX(sync) to avoid warning

Does anyone see what I've missed.

Try your export with just this: XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX(rw,sync,no_root_squash)

no_wdelay basically does nothing with the sync or async settings. Also you might be having problems using your root account with the no_root_squash setting, might want to rethink using your root account unless these are files you want root only to be able to access, you should really be only using NFS to share regular user files, not files owned by root.
