Need help with conf file

Hi, can anyone help me with the configuration of this file.
default-server.conf
Im trying to get my web server going and cannot figure out how to edit this file. I am new to LINUX and would appreciate any assistance.
The version I am using is SUSE 10.1

Thanks

I'm not quite sure what you're asking here. If you're wanting to know how to open a text editor, try VI.
Code:

vi default-server.conf
If you need help beyond that, please be a bit more specific.

Configuration files often won't open unless you are logged in as root.

the httpd.conf file in /etc/httpd/conf should allow your webserver to run, you would only need to change the server name and admin email sections to make it site specific.
