Need Help in Creating 1.5 TB partition in Advance server 3.0


Hi,
I have Advance server 3.0 with kernel 2.4.21-9.ELsmp.
I got 1.5 TB lun from storage on which Application needs single
bigger partition of 1.5 TB...Now if I do fdisk operation on this partition
it takes lot of time.
Also If I try to take this disk in LVM disk Group it takes lot of time..

Need Help in Creating 1.5 TB partition in Linux Advance server 3.0.
Kindly help in doing this....

Hi.

I've got a few of SAN's running in my workplace. The last two I have installed have been 2TB each. The fdisking and formatting was done with fdisk however, it did take a while but the whole process was done within an hour or so. The formatting was what took the bulk of the time. fdisk wasn't too bad at all.

I am using Red Hat Enterprise 3, Advanced Server.
