Moving users from old to new debian server

I have never done this before, and could need some hints
about what to do :-)

- I have not been able to find usefull documentation
using Google, but this is probobly because of my poor
english knowledge. I'm simply not sure what searching-
phrases I should use.

Tips about URL's are welcome.
