mapping the users home directory only

Hi,

I have created users in home directory, my requirement is that users should not able to view other locations on servers like /,etc.

how to do that without affecting existing login of users?

wheather I need to create users once again?

the user will NEED to be able to read
/usr/bin/firefox
and most of the programs in /usr

the default is READ ONLY
what EXACTLY do you NEED to do
and what OS is this
is it a local install you and "they" will be sitting infront of
or
is it a remote system
