i have 2 question in Linux RedHat Enterprist As
1. i can not use mysql and run mysql service & daemon (client & server)
2. my client (windows Xp , Windows 98) can not ftp to connect to my server
why ? please help me. T_T
If you are running RHEL, you should be able to contact Red Hat for support. If you need help from here, please could you be a bit more specific with your questions.
1, I have no idea what the problem is here
2. Is an FTP daemon running ? To check this, do the following
netstat -an | grep LISTEN | grep 21
you should see something like
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:2 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN
I would advise against using FTP wherever possible. You would be better off using SFTP (Google for Windows Client software)
to Builder,acid_kewpie and everybody
