how to turn off save last session in gnome


accidently the save last session option was turned on, and i'm trying to find out how to turn it off.. i'm using oel 5.8 and none of the google suggestions seem to appyly rm ~/.config/gnome-session/saved-session/*
doesnt find the save-session directory, and i can't seem to find where it is..

from the gnome desktop
system /preferences / start up applications
turn off
gnome-settings-daemon

i was able to reset last session option by removing ~/.gnome2/session..
