how to retrive raid data from a crashed system

hi
my system specification is
intel se7210 tp1-e board with 1 intel p4-3ghz prosesor
2 intel srcs16 raid card 12 300gb segate sata harddisk in raid 5 with 2 logical drive (1 per card).
I have loaded rhel-4 on another seagate 80 gb ide harddisk
. There is one software raid (raid level 0/striping)done to combine both the hardware raid logical drive .

Now my system crashed(the 80 gb ide harddisk on which os was installed was burnt)

Is there any way i can retrive my data . i will install the os on another ide hard disk

boot off a live linux CD and mount the harddrive?

1. Disconnect the Raid disks from the machine
2. Put a new disk and load the operating system.
3. connect the raid disks as secondary to the machine and reboot
4. once the operating system comes up with the new disk, mount the raid disks.
5. if you find a prtition table missing or where what is, you could try using "gpart"
6. You will be all set.
