i have d-link dsl 502T.....os red hat enterprise linux 4....how do i configure the OS to allow me to access the net .......please helpp....

I dont know about RHL4 but i am using a RHL3 and am using a beetel adsl2+ modem.
i was able to configure like this.

set the ip address to 192.168.1.2
subnet mask 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.1.1
and the gateways provided by the sp

then i browsed 192.168.1.1 from browser
enter user name and password for the router

go to wan and give VPI - 1
VCI - 32

connection type PPPoE
encapsulation mode LLC/Snap
give user mane and password and authentication method as PAP
enable wan service
pppoe_1_32_1

then save and reboot.

It will stop working.
