please tell me how can i play the songs in mp3 format in red hat enterprise linux 4?

1. You don't, you convert your music to ogg/vorbis and play that (also convert mpeg video to ogg/theora).
2. You install an mp3 player.

This is a well-discussed "problem" in these forums. The search functions are your freind.
