HAProxy HA STONITH Hyper-v Guests

Hello everyone,

after many attempts I have finally got a working cluster of two HAProxy servers using Pacemaker, Corosync etc.

Up to this point I haven't done anything with STONITH / Fencing. I have hit a bit of a brick wall.

The setup - Hyperv Host, 3 x IIS virtual Servers and 2 x HAProxy Ubuntu virtual Servers.

So firstly I can seem to find a fence specifically for a hyperv environment? Does anyone have any recommendations?

Secondly, I'm guessing I don't need to STONITH the IIS servers in case of failure it's just the HA cluster?

Many thanks.

How many HyperV hosts do you have? If only one, then what are you trying to fence?
I am somewhat confused, what exactly are you trying to do?

Thank you for the response - I guess you see my confusion!

I thought that you had to setup STONITH to protect the HAProxy cluster - so if one failed it would be fenced? Is this not correct?

Many thanks for your patience
