When was the last time you updated this system???

This is kinda of old;

Cdrecord 2.0 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2002 Jrg Schilling

You should see something more like;
Cdrecord-Clone 2.01 (cpu-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2004 Jörg Schilling

I'm not 100% certain with this older version of cdrecord but you may have better luck with using something like;

cdrecord -J -r -v speed=8 dev=/dev/cdrom /path/to/foo.iso

Make sure to check/verify that the path and actual iso filename are used if need be.
