Do we configure Cluster without Storage

Dear!

I'm newbie on Linux, due to my work, we need to configure Cluster Linux.

According to RHEL ClusterAdministration document, we found something not respectly hardware requirement. So, we must change plan from Real Cluster to Heartbeat Clustering. Now, I describe:

3 nodes, each on them have got: x86_64 platform, 16gb memory, 520gb internal disk, 3 NICs interface. Our issue as:

- Configure one VIP (Virtual IP) on behalf of 3 Local IP on 3 nodes. Example:
+ Real IP: 10.72.18.9/10/11
+ Virtual IP: 10.72.18.54

- Only one Master node accept data from client through VIP. Question: What does control that when the VIP is located point to 3 IPs?

- Scenario: One or 2 nodes down, something (API, software, ...) detect that, and then, refering to the remain normal node, force any data transport to this one? Brief softly, it control the processing flow data, it knows what is the master node, force to slave node with data when the master down.

Thank you!
