dial up cannot establish connection using SLES 9


hello there i am a newbie in linux and i just finished installing SLES 9 in my computer and connect a external modem. the modem works fine in windows so i decided to use it in linux. i use kppp, then when i connect the modem dialed the isp but could not established the connection. i also use the kinternet same problem. kindly help me, i do really love to use linux.
