Data Access Limit to Users

Hi,

well, let me tell you a entire story.

We have a RHEL 3.0 server in our enterprise. My boss wants me to configure disk quota on linux box and let users save/access their data within a given limit. Users are on Windows 2000 platform.

For this, I have setup Disk Quota on users home directories on linux Box as usual. It works well and file. Then, to let users to access their home directories from Windows 2000, I have setup SAMBA. It also work well and fine.

Now the problem is that whenever users access their home directory through SAMBA, they can save much data than specified limit using Quota.

Please answer folowing questions....

1. Does SAMBA support QUOTA ????? If so, please provide me details or some useful links.

2. Alternatively, what other thing can I do for this???

I just want to setup space limit for every user on linux box and let them access this from Windows Platform.

Hi.
Well I am no guru but I found a How-to and maybe it can help you in some way, the address is:
http://us1.samba.org/samba/docs/man/...TO-Collection/
I took it from the official Samba site.
Good luck
