crontab


Dear all

i did fresh installation of Linux Advance Server 4 , now i would like to schedule a job in crontab , do i need to setup any files or what should i do to make crontab work

Usually by default crond is setup to run by default. Just make sure it's running and edit your users crontab by invoking crontab -e

hi tricky

so you want to me to make sure first crond is working , if its working fine then i can schedule job by using cron editor

Yeah, I'd see no reason why it wouldn't work or startup. I don't recall ever seeing issues with crond.
