Critical user ID
 
Dear All,

I will created the one user ID in GUI mode.

But now i can't recived & send the mail in this user's
How can i possible receive & sent mail for this user's

The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's e-mail address.
The sender's e-mail address was 'yamuna_gan'ga@ciglobalsolutions.com'.
Subject 'test', Account: '203.129.193.50', Server: '203.129.193.50', Protocol: SMTP,
Server Response: '553 Requested action not taken: mailbox name not allowed or chunk too large',
Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 553, Error Number: 0x800CCC78

That's suggesting the mailbox name isn't allowed..

..this is the address it doesn't like:

I see three single quotes (') there. The one in the beginning and the one at the end are probably all right, but what's that sole one in the middle? I'm not sure if a ' is allowed in the middle of the address; if the name in the address was gan'ga I would just change it to say ganga. Usually in places like this the allowed letters don't include quotes or asterisks or slashes or anything that could be a control/special character.

What if you changed the name so that there would be no quotes?

Hi,

That is not useless question. Now i have critically facing a problem.

Now i have using a sendmail server. Our company is Software provider,so one client name is O'nick@xxxx.com.

He is send the mail to our user,but our user can't unable receive the mail and also send.
So I testing purpose of one yamuna_gan'ga user id created in GUI mode.

Because i can,t created the user id in (yamu'na) since that user id created.


Any test msg send in local or other internet .This problem occurred.

Anything change it vi /etc/mail/sendmail.mc

pls urgenly help with me.

I do not believe sendmail permits single quotes in user names. Create a username without a single quote in it.
