centos4-newhardware-xfs-OR-ext3-Vmwareserver-plz help
 

Hi all,

i got new system.

P-D (dual core),2GB DDr2,300GB SATA,945gnt board. OS: centos4.3(i want to install)

Now i need to know is centos is 100% compatible with above hardware or i need to install any performence patches ?

basically i want to use it as VMWARE server to host my virtual boxes. Which file system you will suggest. Basically server need to perform i/o operations on big files.

xfs or ext3 or any other one.
