can i put /boot in lvm partition

i want to install linux ES3 using lvm , but when i define all file system in

lvm partition ,when i try to continue i had an error , that the /boot file

system cannot be in lvm partition;

can you confirm me if really i cannot put /boot in lvm partition

No, you cant. Suppose that you are using striping, there is no way for a bootloader to be able to read the kernel image and/or initrd image. (Even without striping this would be difficult, since LVM does not work like a normal partition.)

Time to write a bootloader with LVM support ;).
