(Repairing filesystem) 2 #
(Repairing filesystem) 3 #
.
.
.

i used---------------------------ext2fsck -p /dev/hda1 ------- and till
.
(Repairing filesystem) 802 # ext2fsck -p /dev/hda1...........its not completed, &

Also, there is a beep coming from HDisk and its light is also blinking. Plz reply ASAP, if any body can help me.

Since this PC is working as Radius Server for us and its down due to this problem. I am in big trouble.

Thanking You,

Sounds like some kind of filesystem corruption. You can try repairing, but you may need to reformat and re-install or even completely replace the entire drive itself. Did anything like a system crash or a hard reset happen before?

How long did you wait? e2fsck on a large filesystem can take a long time.

I had that error after making change to /etc/fstab. I correct the syntax and boots ok.
