Best Practices for fsck

Hello,

I am trying to find out the best file system(ext4/xfs) for my environment.

Found below url shows some best Practices with fsck
https://access.redhat.com/site/docum...e/ch-fsck.html
But as per the link I have take a metadata copy of a file system and I need to do dry run for this.
Can some help in taking metadata copy and doing dry run.

Regards,
Rajesh.

The e2image command will create that sparse image file for ext2/3/4. It should have been installed as part of the "e2fsprogs" package in RedHat-like systems. See the e2image manpage for details.
