Backing up to USB Memory Key

Hi all,

I have a customer with Suse Enterpise Server wishing to back their accounts data files to a 1Gb USB memory key.

We had a lot of problems with backing up to tape (which I detest with a vengeance anyway) so I set up a back up routine that backed up their critical data to one of my servers offisite over a secure SSH link.

Thats fine and they're happy with that but have expressed a desire to backup every night to USB memory key's so I was thinking of keeping the SSH routine and doing that about midnight and then backing up to the memory key sometime around 3AM.

Has anyone done this before and can anyone forsee any problems with this?

Thanks in advance

Why would there be problems, I can not see. You just mount the key or have it mounted at all times and back up to it as you wish and when you wish. Much simpler than with SSH, I suppose.
