apache config vs public dns

hello there
i'm going myself spinning to think about this problem.
my url sometimes cannot be access by internet user, it's look like dns up and down. Checked with networking guy confirmed dns server is ok.

my question , is there apache configuration deny or limit connection from internet user.
Friends...there are some fact that i found:

1. internet users will get access the server using ip number when using url is not.

2. access from internal is ok and never looks down.

3. this problems only happened to apache2 run on Suse Linux enterprise 10(SLES 10)

tq please reply

Hi,

what error message is displayed in the users browser when accessing the URL?

What does your apache access_log or error_log say? are there any entries showing problems?

Yes it is possible to configure limits in apache. Take a look at the entries for Maxclients and Serverlimit.
