adding San Volume on RHEL5
hello everyone
i have RHEL5 and IBM DS4700 San storage system i created a new disk on SAN and assign it to my linux machine but when i use "fdisk -l" it's show nothing (my linux is boot from SAN already) i restarted the machine and still same problem i can't see my new disk volume any help plz ?? thx |

i installed the driver for Qlogic card and still can't see the disk when i rebooted the machine it gives me error "Buffer I/O error on device sdb, logical block0" and when run fdisk -l it delayed for like 15 sec then give nothing what u think ??? F4 |

And since you're using RHEL5 on a SAN, you've got support from both RedHat and your SAN vendor. They could figure this problem out much faster than we can here. Mainly because there are too many variables to post/check here. Could be any one of a thousand things. |
