Add quorum disk on a running cluster

Hi,
I've a running two-nodes cluster based on CentOS.
After some years I want add the quorum disk mechanism in order to avoid split-brain cases that sometimes arise.

I can't create new primary partition on the storage, but I can create a new logical volume on a existent volum group shared by the nodes.

Can I run a command like this ?
mkqdisk -c /dev/mapper/Data_vg-FEQDISK1 -l FEQDISK

where I use the logical volume instead of the phisical device

Can I be safe for the other data that are Data_vg volume group?

Thanks for help

Federico
