3com nbx v5000
 

We are currently looking at phone systems. The execs are thrilled with the 3com, however there is a bit of a snag. The reporting program "eXchange Call Center" requires windows on the desktops to perform the CTI functions, and reporting. I find this rather odd that the software would cater to one niche when so many companies are using linux/unix.

When we went from small to medium I gave all the new people shiny new linux desktops. Much more powerful and stable than their previous windows counterparts. At this point we are still fairly small with only 100 employees, however the desktops are at an approximate 80/20 split with Linux leading the charge.

Does anyone know of another reporting/CTI package that will work with the 3com nbx v5000 on a linux desktop client?

- wanna guess which distro I used???
