Which laptop to start linux embedded development mac or windows based?
 

I am planning to buy a laptop to start linux embedded development. I want to know which would be a better platform to start on. Appreciate your help.

Surely it doesn't matter in the least. Mac OS is at least Unix based (so there will be some common concepts), but aside from that there is really no parallel between the OS you are going to be developing on and the target device. Both operating systems can emulate the target device for testing, and both can cross-compile for Linux; that's all that will really matter.
