Two independent touch displays on linux

Hi,

I'm planning to use two independent touch displays (LCD + touchscreen) with linux. I want to know whether it is possible or not.

The two displays will not be in "clone" or "extended" mode, but would exist as separate displays.

After googling I have read that it can be supported by X, but none of them very clear.

Want to know if someone has tried this before? any inputs?

Without knowing your exact requirements I would guess a multiseat configuration would be what you are looking for.

Thanks for pointing me to multiseat configuration. That could be helpful.

With multiseat, in a desktop scenario, the second window is known to X and I'm guessing the application is unaware of it.

As I intend to use two touch displays in embedded and the application would have to take care of displaying on the right screen (screen 0 or 1), so I was wondering whether the application can do that, when using X in multiseat configuration.
When both screens are touch, will application be aware where the touch was made (screen 0 or 1).

I'm not much aware about X, but if the above questions seem invalid in X scenario, please let me know.
