Serial: How to configure serial write timeout in Linux

Hi all,

How to configure serial write time out in Linux?
As I know to configure serial read timeout using VMIN and VTIME.

Thanks in advance.

Timeout in what respect?
You want to know if the write fails? Or you want to "do something else" if using H/W handshaking and the "acknowledge" doesn't occur within a given time frame?
Please explain (assuming there was an equivalent to VMIN and VTIME for write) - what/how you would use them.
