Maybe it's a capitalist thing?

Man! I got all excited and was going to order a Pi - in store pickup only... not a deal after a 500 mile drive, each way... bummer.

If they are out. No biggy. Won't hurt to do a look see. http://www.microcenter.com/site/stores/richardson.aspx

Richardon is among my old stomping grounds but I didn't recognize it last time I was through there.

If you can get two I'll pay postage and buy you a beer!

I can try and stand outside the store and ask people as they walk in since they say only one per customer. Or walk up to strangers in the store and ask if I give them the money. They will buy it and hand it over to me.

But, don't be surprised if my presence does not jar their nerves a bit.

I'll give it a shot though. You pay postage. Maybe 3 to 5 bucks. Cuz I don't know regular mail costs. I'll only charge what the stamp says on the box or bubble wrapped envelope.

Don't put yourself (or anyone else) out in any way, but if you can get your own and an extra just for the asking I'll take it! But as you say, no biggie, just one of those fleeting thoughts.

Nice business suit, nice smile! I had a similar presence effect most of my life (6'6", lots of hair and two wheels). I met one of those long tall north Texas beauties in Richardson as a matter of fact, and rode up to the high class place she worked for a lunch date one day... security put the front door on lockdown and cleared the lobby... made quite an impression I think. I guess we got beyond that somehow, 30+ years later, my kids call her "Mom".*

Anyhow, have a safe trip and thanks for the thought, whatever comes to pass!

*(Among the best things that ever happened to this old loner...)
