I ran Owncloud on a Raspberry Pi (1) then a BeagleBone Black then a Raspebrry Pi2 and later a Raspberry Pi 3 as each was introduced. The original Pi Ran out of memory if I did a really big sync but the rest did fine. I moved to a low cost mini-itx box to get a little more performance after the rpi3
Ran Slackware on them and never had any problems.
